I don't know about you, but I am so excited Spring is finally here! I'm also excited to celebrate the Easter holiday soon with family and friends. As you know, 2018 Pantone color of the year is Ultra Violet, so you can imagine how delighted I was to receive a box of goodies from SophisitPlate with these beautiful plates inside! I received a mixture of white, purple and green. I played with all the different sized plates, until I came up with the one I loved! Although a monochromatic look is beautiful, I decided to add a hint of green with the gingham plates. Take a look below at how I set this pretty Easter table...

I love reusing items whenever I can, as I have mentioned before, shopping your home can save you time and money. Do you remember the egg cups from this tablescape or what about this one? I adorned each egg cup with two different types of green ribbon, to further pull the color into the tablescape. I love how they look! I am always so excited to use my vintage silver. The pitcher is the perfect "vase" for the lilac stems and I unpacked all my white Easter bunnies and clear candle sticks to create a runner. I tend to collect these cuties, so I have several on hand. Adding flowers {whether fresh or beautiful silk ones} adds a lot to your table, including height! You can have one large arrangement in the middle of the table, like I chose to do here or you can add small blooms to bud vases. I can usually find beautiful flowers at my local grocery or Sam's club stores. So no need to go to the florist and spend a small fortune. Keep it simple, trust me it will save your sanity in the end. 

  

A few of my white bunnies have a place to hold candy or flowers, for this tablescape I chose the mini gold foil chocolate eggs. They would also look so cute with grass and colorful eggs in the color of your tablescape. 

I love place card holders that match my tablescape, so these mini ceramic bunnies were just too cute not to grab last year. One of my sweet friends worked her calligraphy magic for all the place cards.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate today than with this Black Midnight Fudge Cake! Can you?

I recently received this gorgeous crystal cake stand and I knew something fabulous had to be placed on top! It was meant to be, when I found this dreamy layer cake. This seriously makes me want to throw a party! Yes, just a cake can do that to a girl. It's perfectly normal to design a party around a cake ~ especially this cake, right?  OK, you may not have the same fascination about chocolate and cakes like I do, but you do have to agree this is a pretty fabulous cake! Even the name makes it sound fabulous. So what exactly is a Black Midnight Fudge Cake? Although I did not make it, I can describe it to perfection. It is a sweet and super moist, dark chocolate cake! It pairs well with a light cup of coffee, a tall ice cold glass of milk or my personal favorite, a glass of champagne. 

Are you ready for a slice now? I sure am! A beautiful cake stand made this dreamy cake even more so! Isn't it gorgeous? I absolutely love Amalfi Decor their items dress up any dessert or table.

I teamed up with Kroger and Corks and Cheers today to bring you a sweet breakfast in bed with your Valentine! I am all about spending more time in bed if I have the chance, but with two very active kiddos, I don't have the opportunity very often! That is why, when I woke up this morning I decided to treat my hubby and I! We had to wake up a little earlier, but it was so worth it! Although, I may have to sneak in a power nap later, so I can make a our special dinner for tonight. 

Our breakfast was very simple, it consisted of fresh croissants from the bakery, delicious raspberries and of course mimosa style beverages! I love how smooth the Dellatorri Prosecco is with the Dove chocolates! This was a great breakfast and started our day beautifully! You can find all of these items at your local Kroger store! I for one, am very happy I can purchase my Prosecco in the same place I buy all of my groceries.

Celebrating Valentine's Day

This year the hubby and I are skipping all the hot spots in Dallas to stay home with our kiddos for a special dinner! I have the menu all ready to go, but first we will celebrate with my favorite meal!

Girls grill-gating parties are usually stylish and offer more of the comforts of home than the usual tailgating parties. Bringing fun and relaxation together for this American pastime is what this grill-gate party is all about!

Typically college football tailgating consists of fried meat, such as chicken and/or hot dogs and hamburgers, chips and beer. But when you get your girlfriends together, it's a different story. The fare is more upscale, healthier and commonly will include flowers and some other more feminine touches.

• Serve easy-to-eat appetizers and finger foods

Tailgating is not all about the men in your life! There are plenty of us women who love sports or a good sorority outing! I am sharing some great ideas and tips for an easy pick-up-n-go Girls Grill-gating Party!

Girls grill-gating parties are usually stylish and offer more of the comforts of home than the usual tailgating parties. Bringing fun and relaxation together for this American pastime is what this grill-gate party is all about!

Typically college football tailgating consists of fried meat, such as chicken and/or hot dogs and hamburgers, chips and beer. But when you get your girlfriends together, it's a different story. The fare is more upscale, healthier and commonly will include flowers and some other more feminine touches.

Food and Beverage Ideas

• Serve easy-to-eat appetizers and finger foods
• RITZ crackers are perfect with your favorite spinach dip recipe
• Fresh carrot and celery sticks served in mini trophies stays within the theme
• Football shaped bowls hold Hidden Valley® Ranch Dressing for dipping

Ranch Chicken Nuggets Recipe

• Simply purchase your favorite brand of chicken nuggets
• Place nuggets on a cookie sheet
• Using a basting brush, spread Hidden Valley® Ranch Dressing generously over the chicken nuggets
• Bake according to chicken nugget directions
• Let cool
• Add to waffle cones
• Provide honey for drizzling
• Enjoy!
