As promised, we are sharing our favorite Spicy Jalapeno Margarita recipe with you! These can be pretty spicy, to lessen the "heat" remove the seeds from the jalapeno and add more ice.
What you will need:
Kosher Salt
3 Tablespoons Fajita Seasoning Salt
Limes
Ice
Rimming dish or shallow dish
1 Tablespoon Agave Nectar
1 Jalapeno, sliced
4 fluid ounces Tequila
2 fluid ounces Triple Sec
Directions:
1) Pour 1/2" salt into the rimming dish and add Fajita seasoning salt, mix well. Moisten the rim of the glasses with a wedge of lime, dip into the salt mixture and set aside.
2) In a cocktail shaker, pour Agave Nectar, Tequila and Triple Sec over ice. Shake vigorously, until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into prepared glasses and garnish with lime wedges and a slice of Jalapeno.
ENJOY!
This Spicy Jalapeno Margarita recipe sounds fantastic! For an extra twist, consider adding a splash of cucumber juice for a refreshing balance to the heat. If you’re looking for a fun way to unwind after mixing drinks, try playing the Love spicy cocktails! I make this at home after playing slope unblocked to unwind. Pro tip: rim the glass with tajin instead of regular salt for extra kick. I also muddle fresh cilantro with the jalapeños - it adds a fantastic herbal note that complements the heat. Just be careful with the seeds - that's where the real fire is! Has anyone tried using habaneros instead?
