Gather all your supplies:

• Glitter ~ I used silver
• Craft paint ~ I used all purpose acrylic in purple, green and yellow
• Paint brush or paint sponge with wide brush/sponge
• Craft eggs ~ you can get these at any craft supply store or you can use 'real' eggs (just make sure your refrigerate them)
• Embellishments ~ I used K&Company Layered Accents
• Paper towels or egg holder
• Glue gun & glue sticks

You can purchase all these items at your local craft supply store!!!

Let's get started:

• Once your gather all your supplies
• Place about a 1/2 cup of glitter into a sandwich size baggie
• Paint one egg at a time ~ make sure you put on enough paint so it will show slightly through the glitter
• While the egg is still wet, place the egg into the bag with glitter
• Shake the baggie, until the entire egg is covered with glitter
• Remove egg from baggie & place on a paper towel or egg holder
• Allow paint and glitter to dry ~ I dried mine over night
• Pull out your hot glue gun (LOVE this invention!!!) and the embellishments
• Place a small glue dot on the egg & place embellishment on glue
• Allow to dry
• Display your beautiful glitter eggs proudly!!!!

DIY Tutorial ~ Glitter Eggs

Gather all your supplies:

• Glitter ~ I used silver
• Craft paint ~ I used all purpose acrylic in purple, green and yellow
• Paint brush or paint sponge with wide brush/sponge

We had so much fun creating this collection!!! We love Easter and all the bright colors that go along with this meaningful holiday!!  Sunny colors of yellow, blue sky, green grass, pink lemonade, purple sunsets...............oh sorry ~ I was day dreaming!!!

Our 'Spring is in the air' Easter Collection includes:

Cupcake Toppers (8 designs)

Flat Decorative Labels (3 designs)

Straw Flags (4 designs)

We designed this Easter Collection with bright colors that reminded us of Spring!! Bright yellow, green, purple, blue and pink!! We incorporated some classic with some new ~ polka dots, stripes and gingham!!

We found some really fun bubblegum eggs (the large speckled ones) and 'planted' them in biodegradable seed starter pots with the old fashioned decorative Easter grass!! Thought we'd try to bring a little of the outside in with the grass in the picket fence box which held sequenced eggs, baby chicks and metal plant stakes!! Found these wonderful favor boxes and knew they would be the perfect size for the classic plastic Easter eggs!! The wonderfully small Easter trees were decorated with solid color Easter egg ornaments!! You may recognize the butterfly banner in the background ~ I made one similar to that for my daughter's Fairy party & thought it went particularly great with this color scheme. What do you think? I dressed up the table with light pink tulle to give it that 'fresh' Spring look!! I hope you enjoyed the designs I created for this Collection!!

New ~ Spring is in the air Easter Collection

We had so much fun creating this collection!!! We love Easter and all the bright colors that go along with this meaningful holiday!!  Sunny colors of yellow, blue sky, green grass, pink lemonade, purple sunsets...............oh sorry ~ I was day dreaming!!!

My BFF in Colorado was super awesome for flying to Dallas on short notice to drive with my two small kiddos and myself back to Colorado for Spring Break!!! She arrived in Big D on Thursday & we loaded up and left bright and early on Saturday!!!

Our Spring Break 2011 Road Trip started at 4a in Big D!!! I took the 1st shift driving - drove to OKC!!

Where we gassed up and eat some breakfast at Mickey D's!!! The kids & my BFF slept from Big D to OKC!!! They were rearing to go after a little breakfast!! I on the other hand was ready for some serious Zzz's!! My BFF took the second shift & drove to Hays, Kansas...........

Where again we gassed up & let the kiddos play at ....... yep, you guessed it........Mickey D's!!! We were there for about an hour & the kiddos LOVED it!!! Anything not to be in the car & sitting the whole time!!! I took the next driving shift - this system worked out GREAT!!! I drove to Limon, Colorado!!!

We were FINALLY in my home state!!! I was really anxious now to get home to see all of my family!!! My BFF drove the rest of the way home!!! We saw DIA airport & knew I was home & couldn't wait to see everyone!!!

Exactly 15 hrs after we had left Dallas that morning ~ we were at my sister's house ~ where all of my family was waiting!!! We all jumped out of the car ~ excitedly & ran inside to see everyone!!

The kiddos were AWESOME!!!! They were real troppers - never complained or cried. Just played with their toys & watched a movie or two & slept!!! If I knew it would be like that I would have driven a long time ago!!!

Our trip was wonderful ~ we had so much fun. The kiddos were able to spend quality time with my parents & their cousins, Aunts & Uncles!!! They even rode a horse for the 1st time!!! And LOVED it!!!

A HUGE thank you to my BFF who flew to DFW on short notice to drive to Colorado with us and then come back with us a week later & then fly back to Denver where she lives!!! Another HUGE thank you to my kids who were WONDERFUL!!! I love you both dearly & will not hesitate again when your daddy says let's take a road trip!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

Spring Break 2011 Road Trip

My BFF in Colorado was super awesome for flying to Dallas on short notice to drive with my two small kiddos and myself back to Colorado for Spring Break!!! She arrived in Big D on Thursday & we loaded up and left bright and early on Saturday!!!

My kids got up this morning to find the Leprechaun trap turned upside down & all kinds of chaos around it!!! They didn't catch a Leprechaun this year ~ better luck next time!! You've Been Leprechaun'd ~ Free Printable

We've been having some St. Patrick's Day fun at our house!!!

We built a Leprechaun trap {see previous post }, then we created this fun

printable ~ You've been Leprechaun'd ~ sign and instruction sheet!!!

If you've never been Leprechaun'd, you must play this fun game to get everyone in your neighborhood excited for St. Patrick's Day!! You may have played similar games like this for different holidays ~ Halloween is a big time to play this game!! Just follow the instructions & Have A Ton Of Fun!!!

Leave some green glitter behind, maybe a gold chocolate nugget, a trail of Lucky Charms cereal.......heard Leprechauns like these things!!! Can't wait to see the kids faces each morning ~ what kind of mischief have those Leprechauns gotten into now??

{we added some Shamrock coins and some Shamrock strings ~ shiny things to peak the Leprechauns interest!!}

{And of course we had to add some bling to the outside of the trap ~ so they wouldn't be too scared!!}

To Catch a Leprechaun..........

I thought it would be fun for my kiddos to try to catch a Leprechaun this year for St.Patrick's Day!! So we decided to "build" a Leprechaun Trap!!!

{Cute sparkly ladder ~ my daughter's idea ~ who would've guessed!!}

We put it out last night and we'll do something fun each night. Leave some green glitter behind, maybe a gold chocolate nugget, a trail of Lucky Charms cereal.......heard Leprechauns like these things!!!
