They are a party on wheels and what's not to love about that? TIPS FOR STYLING A BRUNCH BAR CART

• Keep your color scheme to main beverage colors {Rose, pink, gold, rose gold} and pull together plates, napkins and party accessories in these pretty colors. You can always add white plates with a punch of color to match your scheme.
• Decorate your bar cart in the same colors, adding in some foods and other beverages in the same hues. Think about giving out mini bottles of Rose Champagne as a party favor! 
• Serve some brunch food! Keeping it simple and bite size. Head to your favorite bakery or grocery store to pick up some mini muffins, donut holes, fresh fruit and pasties. A cake stand in the hues of the bar cart will nicely hold some of the brunch food you are serving. 
• For the toast, you will want to either serve up a signature cocktail or a Rose champagne or wine to fit your theme!

Pick a color scheme, so it will be easier to style. I chose red as the primary color and "shopped" my house and prop closet. I was so happy to find most of these items in my house and didn't have to purchase much at all. 

Intentionally use the top shelf of the cart as your serving space. Lining it with different types of glassware, stir sticks, cloth napkins, or anything else you may need for the drinks or food you are serving. Keeping in mind what you want your guests to use will help you determine how you should style your bar cart.

Adding other statement pieces such as books, beautiful jars, a sign, a plant or fresh flowers helps make the cart feel like it's part of your home's interior.

You don't need to style every inch of your cart. This one I styled has very little on it but makes a big impact with the bold red color and the items I chose to add to it. 

 

To get the cohesive look use this little styling trick, bunch like items in odd numbers. For example, I used three red single rocks glasses {these are for any spirit on the rocks} and three champagne glasses with stirrers already added. This trick fills in negative space on the bar cart. 

If you are styling your bar cart for a holiday or special occasion, add a few festive pieces to incorporate it. I added an XO lighted sign, a LOVE cake topper and the love and heart shaped drink stirrers.

Bar Cart Styling Ideas and Tips

You know how much I love a good bar cart, but often bar carts don't live up to their full potential. By adding a few key accessories, yours will be a true focal point.

5 TIPS TO STYLE A WINTER BAR CART

It is also fun to add in other beverages with the same color labels, as I did here with mini bottles of LaMarca champagne.

• Don't be nervous about getting creative with "out of the box" thinking when you serve your cocktails! I added my signature Polar Blast cocktail to clear ornaments - this provided the extra "flair" I was looking for and my guests loved it! 
• Decorate your bar cart with fun winter decor, such as stockings, brush bottle trees placed in blue mercury glass tea light holders, silver glitter take-out boxes, silver reindeer, and mini ornaments in the color scheme to pull everything together. I added the mini blue ornaments to the wine glasses to give them a festive look. 
• Bar tools are an important part of any bar cart, such as bottle openers, shaker, stirrers, strainer and ice bucket. 

Bring on the winter parties! You and your bar cart will be ready!

Welcome Winter with a Festive Bar Cart

With Winter arriving in a few weeks, it will be time to move the party inside! I am very excited to celebrate the start of Winter and show you how to style your own Winter Bar Cart! The key is making your bar cart both functional and pretty. Styling a bar cart for a party is one of my favorite things to do - it's like a party on wheels! Am I right?

DECOR
Keeping the party decor simple is key. We started with the backdrop, Oriental Trading has a great selection of both number and letter balloons. You can purchase either the silver or the gold mylar balloons and spray paint them whatever color you would like. We wanted the numbers to match our DIY "party" balloon and "rockets". Tutorial on the rockets coming soon.

TABLE
We like to use a tablecloth or runner, but would you believe this is not a runner but a pillar bunting? Before purchasing new items for your party, try "shopping" your home first. Clear glass vases serve as great jelly bean holders and give height to the table! We had the mini silver scoops on hand and added color coordinating ribbon to tie into the theme.

What You Need:

• Mylar Number Balloons
• Rustoleum Spray Paint
• Party Mylar Balloon
• Tassel Garland {red, white and blue}
• Pillar Bunting
• Jelly Beans {red, white and blue}
• Gumballs {red, white and blue}
• Rock Candy {red, white and blue}
• Icicle Twist Lollipops
• White Candle Holders
• Glass Jar Set
• Patriotic Star Candy Dish Set

By simply adding ribbon to a white serving tray and laying the colored rock candy on top is a fun way to display them.

Another way to add height to your table, is by using these white candle holders to lift the colored gumballs.

Place festive candy in clear jars so your guests know what is available for their enjoyment and to stay with the theme. 

BEVERAGES
To hold the beverages, decorate your bar cart and set it next to your party table. Guests can serve themselves or grab an already made drink such as these champagne cocktail sparklers, which were served in clear vintage soda bottles. Super easy and oh so delicious. Recipe coming soon.

Hosting a holiday party or celebration? I'm kicking off the holiday season with this Holiday Brunch Bar Cart Party! I've teamed up with Kate Aspen to provide you with plenty of party inspiration. I'm featuring a fun alternative to a regular cake, cran-raspberry mimosas and mini cinnamon rolls so delicious you won't want to share them! Continue reading for all the details. 

Traditionally brunch is served between 11am and 2pm here in the US, so I decided to serve a donut cake instead of a traditional cake. Using a large cake stand, stack your favorite donuts and garnish with donut holes. For dramatic flair and to be truly festive, add tall birthday candles!  

You can definitely serve juice on its own but since this is a holiday party, why not serve it up as an optional cocktail? Brunch is the perfect time to enjoy a mimosa and a Cran-Raspberry Mimosa is my new favorite. There is much debate on the proper proportions for a mimosa, ask any one of your friends and you will probably be told different ways to make them. In my opinion, 1 part cran-raspberry juice and 2 parts champagne, it's less sweet and so delicious! Serve it in these fabulous stemless champagne glasses, add a gold foil straw and you are all set.

A bar cart is such a great alternative to the larger seated table setting and the party dessert table. I styled my bar cart with the color palate of gold and mint. I am swooning over these colors and the bar cart looks so festive! I added some fun party elements, such as the beautiful plates and matching napkins, gold foil straws, glitter snowflake coasters, cheers bottle openers and mini frames. Horn blowers, tissue tassels and mint and gold wrapped packages add party flair. 

These gorgeous diamond shaped favor boxes add such a great dimension to the cart and party and are the perfect take-home for guests.

Holiday Brunch Bar Cart Party
