Lemon yellow and blue make such a cheery summer scene that suits well for breakfast or brunch!

Affiliate links are included in this post, which means if you make a purchase using one of the links, I will earn a small commission, but it will not cost you one penny! But it does help to keep my website running. Thank you! The following is based strictly on my honest opinion. I only recommend products and brands I love and use personally.

Incorporating bold stripes and gingham plates and napkin rings, bring all the elements together. This color palette can be feminine or masculine, informal or formal. It's all about how you mix the colors.

I definitely wanted the feel to be more feminine and informal. I love how the yellow pops! To style a beautiful table it doesn't have to cost you a lot. Below I listed all the resources. As you know, I love to "shop" my house before going out to purchase any new items. I spent the most on the tablecloth I purchased a few years ago, but I have used it often and will use it again for my son's upcoming birthday party.

Here are a few tips:

1: Decide on a color palette or theme. Look for items to bring the theme together, such as the lemons.
2: Make it unique. Sure you have seen navy and yellow tablescapes before, but have you seen one with lemons, cabana stripes and gingham?
3: Choose a statement piece. Flowers are usually my go to statement for the table.
4: Incorporate texture. This can be done with chargers, plates, napkins and glassware. Texture is key, when maintaining visual interest.

I hope you are inspired to style your own Lemon Yellow and Blue Summer Tablescape, whether it is for breakfast or brunch with your girlfriends or family, I hope you incorporate some of these tips to help you style your own table.

To recreate this tablescape, you will need:

porcelain lemons {these were in the dollar spot}
1.5" wide navy gingham ribbon

I simply could not resist picking up some of my favorite white hydrangeas and placing them in a blue and white ginger jar. Mini vases filled with yellow daisies line the center of the table acting as a visual table runner.

Happy Styling my friends,

Then they were given this to eat for breakfast:

They LOVED the heart shaped strawberries and mini pancakes!! Even my hubby loved it!! He got to join in the fun before heading out the door for the day!!

Sent my daughter off to school with these for her friends!!

in the fun little hot pink chevron bags the girls will be getting gumball necklaces!! Isabella was so excited to take these to school this morning!! I can't wait to hear what her friends think!! I'm sure I'm like most moms out there trying to find the best food items for their kiddos. I tackled the never ending question this weekend when I went grocery shopping {a two hour process ~ that I dread}, "what did you buy?"  I always try to find some fun way for the kiddo to enjoy their meals a little more.

Well a few months ago, I spotted these fun milk flavoring straws at the store and thought, "hmmm, those might be fun for the kiddos to drink their milk in the morning!" So I checked to make sure they were peanut/nut free ~ as both of my kiddos have a severe allergic reaction to nuts. We were good to go ~ NUT FREE!!!

So basically, all you have to do is open the package and insert the straw, which contains mini chocolate beads, into a open glass of milk! {you know whats coming next........}

We were doing fine until the little dude decided to start blowing bubbles with his milk and T H E R E went his cup ~ tipping over, as in slow motion as I was across the kitchen!! All over his breakfast, all over his sister's breakfast........UGH!!! All over the table and floor! And of course we are running late too!!

Anyway back to my story about these straws ~ angel girl LOVED them, the little dude not so much!! All you have to do is sip the milk through the straw and PRESTO!!! Your white milk turns into chocolate milk ~  Just Like That!!

I can see these going in our snack bag as we travel ~ a fun and oh so easy way to have chocolate milk on the run!!!

 I thought I'd share my experience with these ~ have you tried them or do you plan on doing so? I'd love to hear your stories!

Have a Super Great and Creative Day!!
