It's all about following your heart and doing what you love! What I love is styling pretty tablescapes and parties, complete with easy peasy DIYs! I also love the color combo of gold and blush pink. This year, I used all of those components and brought them to life in our Follow Your Heart Valentine's Day Brunch!
I am sappy when it comes to this holiday, all about love! I chose the element of the arrow to signify following your heart. The colors gold and blush pink are reminiscent of the romance this holiday holds. Once I established the theme and colors it was easy to pull the brunch together.
Dressing the table, was the first step. A simple but elegant vibe was what I wanted to create. A ruffled white tablecloth, was the base for a gold sequin and blush pink tulle runner. Clear dinner plates topped with detailed dessert plates were placed at each setting, along with a DIY arrow and name tag. A pretty pink ruffle adorned each napkin as well as beautiful feather angel wings on each chair. Paying attention to detail is important when styling.
A matching balloon garland, tissue tassel banner, XOXO and love balloons tie everything together. Adding different angles, heights and textures give the decor depth.
No party or brunch is complete without a dessert table or bar cart. Serving pink donuts with strawberry flavored heart shaped waffles and dessert shooters, is sure to please your guests.
DIY marbled Oreos, strawberry popcorn, meringue cookies, mini heart shaped waffles, Rolos, Jelly Belly jelly beans and pink gumballs are perfect for a brunch style party.
Don't forget the beverages, pink lemonade and cran-raspberry juice + champagne of your choosing is a great way to get the party started. PARTY TIP: Add mini arrows to your champagne glasses to keep with the theme and help your guests keep track of their glass.
