Today, I'm sharing one of our very own parties! The Crab Claw Surf Club collection was designed for my son, who recently turned three {who also had the Trash Truck Party in January ~ one for family and one for friends}. We hosted this party for family only back in November. Since his birthday is so late in the year, I really wanted it to be colorful and more Summery.
He had a Summer tank top that he loved to wear all the time ~ truth be told, if I would have allowed him to wear it every day, he would have!! {smile} He also loves the water, so I combined two of his loves {for now} to create this design and party for him!
I stocked up on all the Summer items when Summer came to a close, knowing full well we'd be hosting this party in late November. One of my vendors, who has become a friend of mine, worked her magic with the cookies and created some surf boards and crabs ~ they came out super cute!! I had some homemade marshmallows made into surf boards as well! Our guests enjoyed all the Summer food items. We had fresh fruit, cake pops, Red, White and blue gum balls, Swedish fish, yogurt covered pretzels, gold fish and of course cupcakes that I topped with, not only our cupcake toppers, but red chocolate crabs and sprinkled with them crushed graham crackers to make "sand". For party favors, I had crab shaped crayons made for the cousins! They were a hit!!
With Summer around the corner, the crab design can be used for several different types of parties ~ Surf, Crab Shack, 4th of July, baby shower ~ any other Summer-type party you may be planning!!
