I'm excited to be sharing this Girls Night In Holiday Party with you! I collaborated with Oriental Trading on this event and could not be happier with how it came together! Inspired by their bowing and standing reindeer, I decided on a red, white and silver reindeer theme for this Cocktail Christmas Party!

Although the party flowed throughout the house, I kept the main party in the formal dining and kitchen areas. I recently purchased a beautiful flocked Christmas tree and decided it would be perfect in the formal dining room along with the food table. What a perfect place to set the Christmas mood.

With plenty of food and drinks to go around, a lot of photos were taken. I am sharing a few tips and an appetizer recipe. Grab your favorite beverage, sit back and enjoy. Don't forget to take notes, pin to your holiday party boards and start planning your own Girls Night In Holiday Party

TIP: Flowers are always perfect for a centerpiece. I decided to go with several silver cups filled with berry and evergreen sprigs of the season.

Spinach dip nestled inside a bread bowl provides the perfect appetizer. The best part, this recipe does not include mayonnaise, so you can serve it warm or cold like I did! Get the recipe at the bottom of the post.

Creating an olive and cheese ring on top of fresh rosemary is not only delicious but also very appealing to the eye.

Serving dishes in a combination of white, silver, red and clear styled on top of a white table cloth so everything is subtle and doesn't take away from the other decor, is key. I love pops of color for substance. In this case all the red really stands out against the white and silver.

Serving several types of appetizers provides your guests with choices. Everything is bite size, including the shrimp cocktail. Simply purchase a ring of shrimp already cooked, shelled and deveined pour cocktail sauce into a mini glass and top with a shrimp. Now you have single serve shrimp cocktail.

When providing a dessert bar, make sure you also have some salty along with the sweet. I opted for these fun yogurt covered star pretzels for my salt option.

TIP: When stocking your bar cart only add glassware to the top and decorate the remaining shelf, so the cart can be moved easily to another location if need be. I placed all of the alcohol and soda mixers in the butlery.

TIP: place straws, stir sticks, coasters, beverage napkins and dessert plates on the bottom shelf so they are easily accessible for your guests. I found these whimsical "party" reindeer napkins and plates on Oriental Trading.

Cookie Whipped did her magic and created the most beautiful cookies! I love how they fit the theme perfectly! How adorable did the reindeer cookies with the lights tangled in the antlers turn out?!

Nothing better than a night with the girls to kick back, relax and talk it over! Finals week is upon us at school and all of us moms are ready for a stress reliever!

Here is the Spinach Dip recipe I mentioned above.

Ingredients:

8 oz. Cream Cheese {softened and beat until creamy}
2 cups Sour Cream
1 package {10 oz} frozen spinach {thawed and strained}
3/4 to 1 cup Fresh Parmesan cheese {grated}
1 package Dry Vegetable soup {I used Knorr}
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 Bread Bowl {toasted **Optional}

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients together. Cut and hallow out the bread bowl to hold the dip. Keeping the bread, pull apart bite sized portions for dipping. If you want to make the dip the day prior to the party place in the refrigerator covered overnight. Make sure you pull it out in plenty of time to warm up a little bit before serving. Place the dip in the bread bowl and serve.

I hope this has inspired you to gather your girl friends and host your own Girls Night In Holiday Party featuring Oriental Trading!

Are you as ready for summer as I am? With 4th of July, ice cream and BBQs upon us, what better way to celebrate, than to throw an Ice Cream Party?

I am sharing fun ideas and plenty of inspiration to help you start planning for your own 4th of July Ice Cream Party!

When you start to plan your party, once your theme and colors are set, everything else will fall into place. I knew I wanted to use the traditional colors for my 4th of July Ice Cream Party and included food items to match. I started with a plain bright white tablecloth so the red and blue would really pop!

Stock your Ice Cream Party with festive sweets to enjoy this All-American holiday and treat!

On my main table, I used the Americana Burlap Bunting. It was large enough to almost cover the entire front of the table. The Patriots Pride Ribbons were attached to the corners of the table to complete the look. I love how these two set the stage for the party. I also added mini flags to the decor to bring it all together.

For the backdrop, I went simple. I created a matching tissue tassel garland using the red, white and blue tassels. The decorative tissue balls add great dimension and color pop to the back of the table.

Continuing with the color scheme, I placed simple ice cream toppings in waffle cone bowls such as, marshmallows, strawberries, blueberries, star gummy candies as well as red, white and blue mints. I placed the cupcakes on a long rectangular tray and added red and white sixlets to the bottom. I also had red and blue rock candy sticks on hand. I made some festive brownie kabobs to go along with our theme. Who doesn't love brownies and ice cream?

Of course you can't have an ice cream party without fun bowls, spoons, straws and ice cream cones! Don't you just love these milk glass bottles? They were perfect to hold the spoons, straws and flags!

I designed these fun cone wrappers, don't they match the theme perfectly?  And they make the 4th of July Ice Cream Party a bit
more festive!

Kids and adults alike, will have fun creating their own delicious ice cream at this 4th of July Ice Cream Party! But don't take my word for it, create one of your own with our FREE PRINTABLES!

The printable set includes:

Ice cream cone wrapper
Cupcake toppers
Fill-in invitation

Enjoy!
