Every year when Fall rolls around I start to crave apple pie and cinnamon. A sweet juicy, crisp apple dipped in sweet cinnamon or a fresh baked apple pie just out of the oven. I can taste it now, can you? If you have ever made a homemade pie you know it isn't easy, so to save on time and frustration, I whipped up some Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting for an afternoon snack {or breakfast treat ~ I won't tell anyone} *wink! Plus we have included a FREE printable at the end of the post.
Ingredients for the Cupcakes:
1 Box {yep, box cake} White Cake Mix
Ingredients required on the box
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Can {22oz} Apple Pie Filling
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350*
- Line cupcake pan with liners
- Coarsely chop Apple Pie Filling
- Mix all ingredients until well blended
- Fill cupcake liners almost full
- Bake 18-20 minutes
Ingredients for the Frosting:
1 Can Betty Crocker Cream Cheese Frosting
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Mix together until light and fluffy. Frost the cupcakes, we used a piping tip to frost ours. Enjoy with your favorite hot or cold beverage.
