A homemade gift is a perfect way to show someone how much you appreciate them. I love using essential oils around my home to help with various health issues, as well as enjoying a sweet smelling home, but I’m also addicted to making all kinds of goodies with my oils!
Today, I hope you enjoy my recipe for Lavender and Blueberry Ice Cream!
As it warms up here in Dallas, my mind starts to think of refreshing desserts to make and serve my family. I made this wonderful Lavender and Blueberry Ice Cream! Sure I could use my ice cream maker or simply purchase ice cream from my favorite grocery store, but what fun would that be?
With only 5 ingredients this is very simple and extremely delicious!
8 oz. Heavy Cream
14 oz. Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Cup Fresh Blueberries
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Lavender Oil
In a mixer whether it be a hand or standing one, whip the cream until it is thick add the vanilla and mix in the sweetened condensed milk and blueberries. Once all ingredients are mixed well add 2 to 3 drops of Lavender Essential Oil. You can add more or less of the oil {to your preference} be careful not to add to much as the ice cream will become bitter. Pour ice cream into a container, we used a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap, place in the freezer for 8 hours or over night to set.
