Do you remember our Trash Bash feature over on Hostess with the Mostess, last month? Read the full post here if you missed it!! Since that feature,we've had so many requests for our Trash Truck party favor trash cans, that we've decided to offer you a tutorial! I looked online for several months {6 to be exact} to find that "perfect" mini trash can that wasn't $3 or more per can!! To my surprise, I was unable to find any much cheaper than that. I needed at least dozen or so and I wasn't willing to pay that price. So in my search of other items for the party, I stopped in my favorite Dollar Tree and cruised each and every isle, like I normally do when in search of something fabulous!! I came across these great lime green rubber coozies, that I just knew with a little spray paint, I could turn these........

{before ~ lime green coozies}

Into these...................

Beautiful mini inexpensive trash can party favors!! I used Rust-oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover in Metallic Aluminum! I needed to make these coozies a little more sturdy as well as cover the large hole in the bottom of them ~ so I placed a clear drinking cup inside {you can see the rim of the cups in the first photo}. And I spray painted them! They came out super cute and all the kiddos LOVED them! I used a mini bag {the doggie poop bags} for the trash bags ~ they were the perfect size & I just trimmed the tops! The mini bags had a scent to them so I placed all the kiddos treats in a sandwich bag before putting them into the party favors!

Add our Trash Truck party favor tags to get the finished look!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!! Let us know if we can help you any further in your search of the "perfect" mini trash can for your next Trash Bash!!
