We are sharing a few ideas and tips to up your Mother’s Day hostess game! I love beautiful displays of food and this serving board is no expectation! We’ve teamed up with UncommonGoods to share a few of our favorite items from their Mother’s Day Gifts collection. When designing an appetizer board, such as this ampersand, pull together your favorite crackers, cheeses, olives, vegetables, fruit and charcuterie. There's really only one rule to follow, make sure you include a variety of colors and textures. Appetizer boards are so easy to design and they are perfect for a backyard soiree, girls night in or family movie night.

This beautiful serving board is part of the Uncommon Collection, which was introduced in 2015 and is an exclusive assortment of products that meet UncommonGoods highest standards for uncommon design, sustainability and doing good. When this beauty was delivered to my house, it was gift wrapped, upon my request. It came in a beautiful navy blue box with a pretty green ribbon wrapped around it and included a note card.

I love setting a table with fresh flowers, they are so pleasing to the eye, and these Caterpillar Bud Vases are perfect!  I used both sizes, the small and the large, and I like that each glass bubble holds a bloom or gathering of buds. Aren't they beautiful?

I believe next to the guest list, the food you serve is very important. I chose the Entertaining Platter to serve my dessert! The soapstone platter can be heated or chilled to keep your dish at the perfect temperature for serving, which is very important at a party.  I enjoy making a  variety of options to serve our guests, these delicious toast dessert bites were a hit!  To see more great gifts for mom, visit UncommonGoods

Here's what you will need to make these Toast Dessert Bites:

  • your favorite rustic style bread sliced
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 Cups Whipping Cream
  • fresh fruit
  • honey *optional
  • sprinkles *optional
  • mint *optional
I used my stand mixer, soften your cream cheese then add sugar and vanilla. Mix until creamy, making sure sugar has "melted" into the mixture. Fold whipping cream into the cream cheese mixture, then mix until it is fluffy and fully combined. Spread immediately on your bread slices and garnish with fruit, honey, sprinkles and mint. Store leftover cream mixture in the refrigerator covered. Enjoy!

After enjoying the deliciously rich toast dessert bites, now it is time to indulge in some spa water! If you are constantly on the go, like I am, you will love the Flavor Infuser Water Bottle. I love to add all kinds of fruit and veggies to make spa water. Did you know if you add raspberries, grapes and cucumbers that it is said to work as an anti-inflammatory? I had not idea either! One of my other favorite spa waters combos is lemon, mint and cucumber. It is so refreshing.

It comes as no surprise that UncommonGoods has been awarded for outstanding customer service every year since 2007. In 2015, they achieved the BizRate Platinum Circle of Excellence award, their highest achievement level yet!
