I think one of the most wonderful things about the holidays, is setting a beautiful table. This shouldn't stress you out, in fact you shouldn't worry about it. Your table should be simple and express your creativity. If you are still unsure, ask a creative friend for help, which happens to be one of my favorite tips.

As I shopped over the last several months and saw all the metallics, I started gathering items for my Fall table. This became my inspiration. Keeping with the typical Fall colors of orange, brown and glimpses of yellow, I also incorporated the metallic gold, silver and copper.

My favorite parts of this table:
  • the painted fruits
  • silk leaf runner
  • glittered mini pumpkins
  • Moscow mule mugs
Most of the items I had on hand, but I love the holiday excuse to add to my tableware. The only items new on my table are the Moscow mule mugs {thanks mom}.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the fruits being "updated" with a few layers of metallic spray paint. Yep, you read that right! They are faux fruit which have been spray painted. They turned out beautiful!

The other items, I gathered from around my house. "Shopping" your house beforehand saves you time and money! You will surprise yourself what you will find in your own home.

To keep with the Fall mood, I used a burlap runner, instead of a tablecloth, and created a thinner runner down the center with leaves. Topped the leaves with metallic fruit and glittered pumpkins. Scattered the smaller silk leaves and pinecones to fill in the decor. Splashes of copper, silver and gold add sparkle.

I like to provide guests everything they will need for a meal. I "built" each place setting with a gold charger, a large white dinner plate, a place card and metallic fruit or a glittered pumpkin, a wine glass and a Moscow mule mug, which can be used for water. Don't forget to set a napkin with a pretty holder and flatware. If you are having the meal later in the evening, candles are a nice touch and adds ambiance.

Color coordinated wrapped boxes hold items of thanks for guests, plus it adds a little extra touch. Place cards are not only pretty and functional, but add a personal touch for your guests. You can find the place cards in my shop

Serve a signature drink after dinner such as an Bourbon Spiked Hot Apple Cider or the Classic Moscow Mules.
