Hello friends! We spent four of the most glorious days in San Antonio this past week at the Hyatt  Wild Oak Ranch resort, with some of our friends.  If you have never stayed there, you need to continue reading this post, because I promise by the end of it, you will want to go there. This was our fourth trip there in eight years. And it never gets tiresome. This was my view for most of the days.

The lazy river {otherwise known as rattlesnake river} is just so relaxing, all you do is float around in a tube all day long. There's a little bit of shade due to the trees but a lot of sun too. Talk about a family-friendly resort, this is it! There is a sandy beach for the kids to play and build sand castles.

In the morning they played classical soothing music that you would hear at a relaxing spa. During the day they play country music. If you tire of the lazy river, you can head up to the main pool where you will find two water slides and a game of water volleyball. The water in this pool is so comfortable, almost like bathwater.

Each room has a full kitchen with all the accessories. We simply buy groceries at one of the local grocery stores and prepare meals for the week. You don't ever have to leave the resort if you don't want to. They do have a full service restaurant and bar on the premises - JBs. The resort offers a free shuttle to its sister resort the Hyatt Hill Country as well as Sea World.

The resort offers many family opportunities such as golf on the putting green, a nature trail, volleyball, basketball, movie night, Smore's at the Wallflower  Pavilion.

For those that prefer to dine without the children, there are babysitting services available at camp armadillo, where they will entertain the children for a fee. How does princess for the day or superhero for the day sound? I bet the kids would enjoy that!

For a family outing, why not try Sea World? For better rates try to buy your tickets ahead of time or on Groupon. Our kids had the fabulous opportunity to touch and feed a dolphin. They had so much fun! It was so nice to take advantage of the free shuttle service from the resort to Sea World. Front door service at its best.

We were able to take in a few shows while we were there!

As well as a few rides!

We had such a great day at Sea World! I think getting wet was a highlight of the day and our trip!

Early morning river floating with the family!

Not sure where we spent most of our time - at the lazy river or at the main pool playing on the water slides.

The grounds are so beautiful we just had to share these photos of some of the flowers you will see.

This Hibiscus was bigger than both my hands! Crazy!

We were able to take most of these photos early in the morning before everyone got out for the day! I usually took an early morning walk by myself around the premises! What a great way to start the day!

The Icehouse is a small store which carries some baked goods as well as some necessities.

A great sitting area just outside the main registration building!

This little cutie {my little one} greeting everyone as they came into register for their stay!

After we check-out of our room at the Wild Oak Ranch, we went into "town", walked the River Walk and visited The Alamo. As the evening closed my hubby treated us all to a horse drawn carriage ride around the city! Isabella LOVED it!

The weather was perfect as was our vacation! Are you ready to spent some time at Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch? What do you have planned this summer? A stay-cation or a vacation away from home? Where to?

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Weave Made Media® and Klondike, but all my opinions are my own. #weavemade #KandyBar   http://my-disclosur.es/RgFrEH

We love styling and hosting parties, but when an impromptu opportunity comes along we are all in, especially during the summer months! Remembering the ice cream trucks that use to cruise our neighborhood when I was a child, we decided to use the tailgate of our Yukon, we put together this delicious and easy neighborhood tailgate ice cream party and added some of our favorite ice cream, the New Klondike Kandy Bars. We picked two flavors - Cookies & Cream and Fudge Krunch!

Mmm....just look at that rich fudge sauce! Is your mouth watering yet? It should be!
This party couldn't be easier. We simply opened up a few boxes of the Klondike Kandy Bars added some fun party decor and just like that you have a party!

For easier eating we placed a wooden stick in the bottom of each Kandy Bar and added a fun mini ribbon for a little pizzazz!

Do you love mason jars as much as we do? We made milk shakes using both flavors of the Kandy Bars. These were so refreshing and oh so good!!

We simply blended two Kandy Bars with ice and 1/2 cup of milk together, poured into mason jars and added a fun striped paper straw.

We made a sample bar station so our guests could try both flavors.

We crushed up two Kandy Bars, added a little ice cream and poured it into these fun little cups added ribbon and some wooden spoons for tasting.

The hard shell is so tasty and a fun way to tell which flavor you are tasting.

You can't have ice cream without a little bit of cake and cupcakes are the perfect size.

Make sure you have cones and a simple drink on hand, just in case anyone wants to try the Kandy Bars in a cone and needs to sip on a refreshing beverage.

We invited our neighbors to the tailgate ice cream party with this festive invitation

After waiting way too long, the kiddos were finally able to dig in!

In their words, "mommy, these are so YUMMY!!!" Can we have them for lunch? Silly kids, Klondike Kandy Bars are for breakfast not lunch!! Ha Ha not really, but these are seriously delicious and if I could eat them for breakfast I would! Learn more about these perfect summer treats here!

If you would like to host your own Neighborhood Ice Cream Party, you can by purchasing the Klondike Kandy Bars in the freezer section of most grocery stores and don't forget to download all of our fun party decor for FREE HERE! Talk about a stress-free party!
