Last week we shared with you a few ice cream themed desserts. So it is only fitting that we create a full post on the theme this week! We will have you craving ice cream by the end of this post!

Not a fan of ice cream? Why not try these ice cream look-alikes? Banana splits without the ice cream!

OR some mini cake cones ~ yes, cone cakes topped with white frosting and sprinkles! A great alternative to the actual thing!

Are you craving ice cream yet? This is the perfect time to remind you about our Ice Cream Social Party Designs. You can get them here! To see the full post about this party, click HERE!

We hope you have a great day!

We are so thrilled to announce the launch of our new logo! We have been working on it for some time now and finally all the concepts came together. The new "look" was long overdue and we are over the moon excited to share it with you today! We started our blog back in early September 2010, showcasing primarily our own parties. By the end of the month, we were a full fledged business creating and selling our designs! We are super excited about the opportunities we have been given and the growth of BellaGrey Designs! Our new logo illustrates more of what BellaGrey Designs is and does. While we are still on the Blogger platform, we would like to make the "jump" to WordPress soon! I'm a perfectionist so change does not come easy, although I do like change and think it is important, everything has to be just right before I'll go forward with it. Our new logo feels right and makes us happy when we look at it! We are still making tweaks to our blog as well as our Etsy shop, so please bear with us as we go through this process. If you see something not quite right, please let us know so we can address the issue.

We updated all of our Social Media platforms with our new logo this past weekend! Whew...I think we updated everything.

We really enjoyed creating the new logo ourselves and are so proud to show it off finally! We'd love to hear your thoughts! We have so much more planned for BellaGrey Designs!
Continue following us, where imagination, inspiration and celebration come together!

Have a great day!!

xoxo,

Have you heard of mug cakes? They are cakes you bake inside a mug! Yep, you read it right! Baked inside a mug and get this.....in the microwave, no less!! WHAT?? That is crazy talk! We just had to try it out for ourselves! So we gathered our ingredients and started our test. Here is what you will need:

{found the recipe here}

a coffee mug **We used a glass mason jar**
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons pudding mix {or cocoa}
2 tablespoons whisked egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons applesauce {or canola oil}
1/8 teaspoon of vanilla
optional:  3 tablespoons chocolate chips, favorite candy bar, or nuts

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.  Add egg, milk and applesauce {or canola oil} and vanilla.  Mix well.  Add preferred optional ingredients.  Spray a mug with cooking spray and pour mixture into one large mug (or two smaller mugs). Put the mug into the microwave for 1 1/2 – 2 minutes at 1000watts {all microwaves cook differently, be sure not to overcook it, a clean toothpick is a great way to test}.  The cake may rise above the lip of the mug, but no worries, it will drop back down…pretty fun to watch!  Remove from the microwave and let cool for a few minutes…as long as you can stand it!  Turn the mug over on a plate or leave your cake in the mug! Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy! Best served right away, while still hot and just in case it spills over, place your mug on a plate while microwaving.

As we were pouring our ingredients into the mason jar we stopped at half point and added the chocolate chips. This made it so creamy and gooey! We only baked ours for 1 minute in the microwave because ours runs really hot.

Ta-Da! Here is our masterpiece!! We were a little reluctant at first about something that only takes about 5 minutes to make and 1 minute to "bake" in the microwave. But have no fear it is very tasty! Hmm....I wonder if these little individual servings will take over the cupcake world! What do you think? You're right, probably not!
**Just so you know, one mason jar fed two adults and two children!**

Thank you for always being with us on all our adventures! We want to say THANK YOU to all of our FABULOUS readers, with a FREE printable flag!

Hello & Happy Friday to all of you!!
We hope your week has been going good, because the weekend is almost here!
Today we will be sharing some Mother's Day ideas, kids parties, recipes, DIY and decorating ideas! Let's start with Mother's Day.

I'm always a little sad this time of year, as my Mom, sister and I don't live in the same city or state! So we can't celebrate this wonderful day together! But I sent my mom a box full of fun goodies she loves! What are you doing for your mom? Does your mom live near you? Have you ever thrown a brunch party for Mother's Day? You could come up with a fun theme.

You could do something like this for Mother's Day

Set an elegant table with matching table linens and serving wear. Serve tea; mimosas; juice; sparkling water with tea sandwiches and fresh fruit.

What about adding these beautiful confetti balloons to your Mother's Day table?

We love how delicate these daisy flower macarons look and they would add some great color and taste to your Mother's Day celebration!

We love asparagus and spinach, but have never tried them together! We may need to add this cream of asparagus and spinach soup to our Mother's Day fare!

A fun and DIY idea! A rope wrapped letter tutorial - add this to your Mother's Day packaging!

Do you or your mom live in an apartment or have a small bedroom? Try these tips for apartment decorating! Or re-do your mom's bedroom as a Mother's Day gift!

On to the PARTIES:

We are crushing on this race car party! Such clever ideas and so colorful too! Thinking my son would love this for his next birthday!!

Do you remember the teenage mutant ninja turtles? Well, they are still a hit with kids! Check out this

Hope you enjoyed all the Mother's Day inspiration as well as the parties we showed you! We are always happy to share other's ideas here at BellaGrey Designs!

For all of you moms out there ~ HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! For everyone else, please don't forget your mom this Sunday!

Have a Super Fabulous weekend!!

Are you hosting a Mother's Day get together at your house? You may want to include some of this inspiration for your mom, Mother-in-law, sister or friends at your gathering.

 Add one of our Vintage Mother's Day gift tags to the present you are giving. Find it here.

You can dress up the glassware with a simple cloth napkin and add one of our blank note cards to show your guest your appreciation.

Tell your guest what is being served with decorative food labels such as these grey and pink floral designed ones.

Pull your table together with all of these elements including these toppers which we added to our finger sandwiches.

 Add some beautiful matching tea cups and elegant plates and platters to serve your Mother's Day brunch, tea or breakfast. I wish my mom and sister lived closer to me so I could spoil them like this for Mother's Day!

What are you doing for Mother's Day for your mom? I mailed my mom a super cute package full of fun items she loves ~ flower napkin rings; favorite CD; gift cards; perfume; nail polish and a new apron! But I would much rather spend the day together if we could!

Hope this inspires you to do something fabulous for your Mom!
