Today I've teamed up with Silk to show you how easy it is to incorporate Silk Brands into your next party! My family has never tried any of the Silk Brands before, so we were excited about the opportunity to try a refreshing new Silkology recipe!

You can experiment with one of Silk's new Silkology recipes too, located on the Silkology Facebook page!

As I looked through the array of drinks, the Straw-Nana Flip just stood out and it sounded so refreshing! I decided to make the drink the morning of my daughter's birthday party ~ it matched the colors of the party perfectly and it was delicious! It was a great start to our morning!

We added more strawberries than the recipe called for, to make sure the banana flavor wasn't too strong.

Here's our version:

3/4 cup Silk soymilk 
1 Tbsp sweetener of choice {we used regular sugar}
1/2 frozen banana 

1/2 cup diced frozen strawberries

3-4 drops of vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth. 

Pour and serve.

We will make this again and serve it to the rest of our family and friends at our next celebration or just for breakfast!

Do you know who Jo Pearson is? If not, she is the Creative Expert of Michaels and Craft Wars judge! Yesterday, Michaels held their grand opening for the Irving, Texas store!! Being a HUGE fan of Jo and Michaels, I just knew I needed to attend all the events of the grand opening! They had an outside tent with some fun crafts {it was 100+ outside} for everyone and in a smaller air conditioned tent they had some Craft Wars competitions with local school art teachers and some Michaels employees! My daughter and I watched the Michaels employee competition ~ so much fun!!!

We were so excited we got to meet Jo in person!!!!

She was Super Sweet & so full of energy!! It was such a fabulous few minutes!! Jo talked to my daughter about her birthday party we had just celebrated the day before and asked her what her favorite craft was and of course, my daughter said ~ Glitter!!!!! Meeting Jo Pearson

Do you know who Jo Pearson is? If not, she is the Creative Expert of Michaels and Craft Wars judge! Yesterday, Michaels held their grand opening for the Irving, Texas store!! Being a HUGE fan of Jo and Michaels, I just knew I needed to attend all the events of the grand opening! Can you believe these are cupcakes? I was on Pinterest the other day and came across these wonderful looking cupcakes! Can you imagine if you were to serve these to your guests.........they would be shocked to find out they were CUPCAKES and not the actual food!!! I'd love to see my friends and family's faces if I served these at our next BBQ!!! hee hee

A Snow Cone anyone?

It's really hot here in Dallas {100+} and the days are long ~ what better way to cool off, than with a frozen snow cone! Wait......it's not just any ordinary snow cone ~ it's a cupcake snow cone!!! It may not be frozen, but it sure looks refreshing!! With it's bright colors all bursting with incredible flavor!
