A big HOWDY to all our friends out there!!

A few weeks ago my friend, Becky, asked me to create a Hoe Down party theme for her son ~ Cason!! The party came out so cute, I wanted to share it with you. I just LOVE the oversized "Wanted" poster of Cason ~ it really brought the party together!!

Instead of hanging the banner together in one place, Becky decided to hang them separately, but still side by side.

I created a few different pieces for this party then we normally do. Like the pennant style banner instead of our traditional 5x5 square banner.

Here's Cason singing ~ he loves to sing country songs and sang one for all of us at his party!! Too cute!!!

Cason's baby sister, Cohen, wanted to get in on the action too!!!!

Becky set up tables around the house for the kids to "create their own" cowboy and cowgirl wooden masks ~ she provided stickers, glitter glue, markers, "bling".....an assortment of fun items to decorate their masks how they wanted to.

After each child created their mask, they took them home as part of the party favors!! They all had such a great time coloring them!!

Additional party photos:

Gotta love the red cupcakes ~ the kids sure did!!

These fun sandwiches were cut into cowboy hats and sheriff stars!!

Party favor bags...........

And the tags!!

The front entrance

Welcome party sign with the kids cowboy hats and sheriff badges with their names on them.

Another fun party sign.

You can't have a Hoe Down without a "Wanted Poster"!!

No party is complete without the traditional pinata!!

Hope you enjoyed our newest party theme ~ we will have it available soon in our shop.

Have a Super Great Day!!!

We celebrated my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend in Colorado!! We {my sister, brothers and I} threw them a surprise party!!! Boy, were they surprised!!! Their Anniversary was in April but I couldn't make it home with the kids in school and my husband super busy at work, so we decided to wait until all the kids were out for summer break and throw them a huge surprise party!! We invited all of their friends and all of our extended family!!! It was so much fun & I had a great time creating their dessert table. Their wedding colors were light pink and white ~ so I opted to use those colors with a little bit of yellow {to represent the "golden" anniversary}. I'm very pleased on how it came out!! What do you think? Do you like the color combination or do you think I should have used the actual gold color?  Here are additional photos:

My Aunt Addie made the cake for them ~ it turned out great & it was SO good!! It melted in your mouth!!!

I used some light pink candy ~ strawberry malt balls, jelly bellies (watermelon & pink lemonade), Hershey Dark Chocolates wrapped in pink wrappers!!!

I LOVE their wedding photo!! We updated it with a new modern frame!!! On this side to of the table we used gold wrapped candy - Werther's original hard candies, Almond Roca, mints and some chocolate kisses!!

What would an anniversary party be without the 'cutting of the cake'?

And of course.......the KISS!!!!
You two are just so stinkin' cute!!!!

Thanks Mom & Dad for showing us you can have a strong and healthy marriage with a little work & a Whole Lotta LOVE!!!!

Happy 50th Anniversary!!!
We Love you,

I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream!!! Its Summertime and what better way to celebrate a birthday than with a fun light pink and white striped Ice Cream Social?? It has to be at least 100 degrees here in Texas and a balmy 85 in Colorado right now ~ which is where this party was held!!

At this Ice Cream Social ~ you created your OWN sundae!!! What fun that was for the kids!!! They could hardly wait to add all the toppings!! Just look at all the great toppings that could be added to make your sundae truly your own!!! ENJOY!!

Fresh Fruit.....Raspberries, Strawberries, Blackberries

Chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, animal crackers......

Gummy bears, Rainbow sprinkles........

Of course you have to have a girlie ruffled napkin to display the ice cream scoop!! (giggles)

And of course all the different sauces....Chocolate, Caramel, Butterscotch......

Wafer cookies to add to your sundae.....and you can't forget the Pirouette cookies ~ they are the finishing touch to any sundae!!

This past week we took a vacation to Colorado to visit my family. Our daughter has never had the opportunity to celebrate her birthday with all of her cousins, Aunts and Uncles in Colorado, so we decided to throw her an Ice Cream Social!!! She recently started liking ice cream and asked to have "lots of ice cream at my party", so this is how the Ice Cream Social began!!! I painted medium sized paper binders white to hold all of our decorative tags!! They worked great!! I made the ruffled napkin you see with the ice cream scoop laying on top ~ to add some more girlie elements to the party!! Hope you enjoyed looking at all the photos of this party as much as we enjoyed creating it and making it come to fruition!!
You can find all the paper party decor in our shop.

She loved it!!

Have a Super Great Day!!!
